After seeing tenor saxophone player Junior Walker, Paco decided that was what he wanted to do. He played with local bands in his hometown of Norwich before making the move to London and has been playing and teaching saxophone ever since. Paco has toured the UK, Ireland and Germany and most recently played with American jazz singer Ellen O’Brien on her first visit to the UK. His influences are Junior Walker, Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker, Michael Brecker and Dexter Gordon, “all the usual suspects”. He enjoys playing jazz, funk, soul and r ‘n’ b, among other things. As he says, “You gotta be versatile”. |
